The shaft of this baton is decorated with a broad groove that spirals up the handle. Below two of these grooves the raised area is marked by roughly circular dimples. This form of decoration seems to be unique to this site. Owing to an ancient break across the perforated end, it is not known how the end was decorated but several batons from this site are elaborately sculpted in the round.
